Now that we can think about turning the cooker on again, post heatwave, our head has been turned by this season’s new potatoes.
Still in their loose flaky skins, this week we have ‘first earlies’ Orla variety from Caefai Farm Pembrokeshire, Maris Bard from Lyncroft Farm in Ormskirk and Accord from Bagthorpe in Norfolk.
These are lovely simply boiled and adorned with an oil of your choice but we love them tossed in a mix of fresh herbs and this week we have some lovely parsley from Strawberry Fields and Lyncroft Farm but why not try them with the lesser known lovage, it’s earthy citrusy hit really peps them up.
