Fresh bread from artisan bakeries arrives daily at the deli, where you’ll also find a range of Unicorn-made salads and meals. The deli is also where you’ll find our range of gut-loving kombuchas.
Made from our own ingredients this is available from 11-3(ish!) every day, with ever-changing varieties!
Salads & heat-to-eat meals
We are very proud of our salads, soups, curries and chillies, all made with our own lovely organic veg in our commercial kitchen above the shop.
Stars of the show are our kombuchas from local folks Laid Bear and Hip Pop, plus fermented teas from the Scottish coastal town (and traditional tea smuggling base!) of Eyemouth – Left Field Kombucha.
Sweet treats & baked goods
Unicorn’s own flapjacks and brownies complement the wonderful cakes from Manchester’s Black Cat Cakery and for tasty no-gluten options, the Nutritionist’s Kitchen. Alongside these, we offer a range of olives, pasties, calzones and sosmix rolls from Manchester-based Forest Foods and Saker Wholefoods in Yorkshire, Mancunian Curious Furious pasties, and pies from the Gluten Free Pie Company. Plus the North West’s best samosas and bhajis from award-winning Lily’s in Ashton-Under-Lyne (and now Chorlton too!)
Fantastic fresh bread arrives daily courtesy of The Handmade Bakery – a community supported workers co-op in West Yorkshire; Wye Bakehouse – a family bakery based in Bakewell, Derbyshire; and Deansgate’s sourdough specialists Holy Grain. All three bakeries use organic flour and traditional methods to create exceptional artisan loaves.
Weekday deliveries are late morning/lunchtime and weekend deliveries are first thing in the morning.
